https://www.sculpturepark.co.nz/Located on the outskirts of Hamilton, The Sculpture Park at Waitakaruru Arboretum has more than 20,000 trees and more than 100 sculptures within this outdoor gallery.
The Sculpture Park at Waitakaruru Arboretum is a former quarry that has been transformed into a 17.5 hectare arboretum with more than 20,000 trees from around the world. The rehabilitation started in 1991. Along the 2 km long nature trail you will discover more than 100 sculptures and installations within one of New Zealand's largest outdoor galleries. All of our sculptures are NZ made, some tell thought-provoking NZ stories.
Sustainability of nature and art are the driving forces of the park. Formed from derelict land, its trees are now protected long-term for carbon sequestration. The park is run by a charitable trust providing environmental and creative inspiration.
Open for casual visitors Sundays and Public Holidays (10am to 5pm). Book all other days online.
