Nau mai, haere mai! Welcome back!

In line with government requirements, The Base will operate under COVID-19 Level 3, Step 2, restrictions from Tuesday 2 November 11.59pm until advised otherwise.

Retail Stores
Retail stores will be open, with public health measures in place to ensure the safety of staff and customers. This will include management of numbers in store, mask wearing and contact tracing.

Food Operators
Food and beverage operators will be operating with a contactless takeaway only policy. Seating will not be available in our foodcourt, restaurants or cafes. Some operators will be using click and collect services.

Personal Services
Personal services that require close contact in order to operate, will remain closed. This includes hair dressers, nail salons, barbers and massage services. Some of these stores will be open for retail of their products, if they choose.

Management of numbers in Centre
While we are operating under Alert Level 3, Step 2, the number of people in the Centre at any one time must be monitored and limited in accordance with the requirements of the New Zealand Government.

  • Our people counting systems will be utilised to monitor numbers, and alerts will be made when the Centre is nearing capacity.
  • If the Centre is nearing capacity then entrances may need to be closed and people coming into the Centre will be limited until numbers reduce (which may include operating a ‘one-in-one-out’ system for a period of time). If this situation occurs, our team members will be deployed to Centre entrances to manage this, and signage will be put in place advising customers of the situation.

Centre amenities
Under Level 3, Step 2, respite seating is unavailable and Customer Service loan equipment is also unavailable.  We thank you for your understanding.
Please note that the outdoor playground is also closed while we undertake essential maintenence.

Keeping our customers safe

We’ll be working hard to keep you safe with robust cleaning processes, sanitiser around the centre and reminders to social distance, wear your mask and do your part to keep us all safe.

  • Wear a mask – and keep it pulled up over your nose

  • Wash and sanitise your hands frequently

Trading Hours

The Centre will be operating under normal trading hours. These can be found here. Some stores may operate different hours so if you are visiting for a particular retailer, find their contact details to check here.

When entering the centre and specific stores, please ensure you are scanning the necessary QR codes and are wearing a face covering at all times.
